The Wildlife Art Society International Award Winners 2011

Congratulations to the following Twasi members on their award winning artwork

 

 

John Horton was delighted to win the Christopher Parsons Award for Artistic Excellence for the best portfolio of four works

 

The Christopher Parsons award for Artistic Excellence

This Award was inaugurated in 2003 and was named after the late Christopher Parsons OBE who was a Patron and supporter of the Society.

The Award is presented for the best portfolio of four works by an artist.

THE LADY SCOTT AWARD

This is a new award, inaugurated in 2010 in the memory of Lady Philippa Scott, a former Patron and supporter of the society. Lady Scott was probably best know for her work with
The Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust alongside her husband,
the late Sir Peter Scott. Together they were a formidable force for good in the world of conservation.

This award will be presented for the best photographic portfolio

 

 

Hilary Kington was delighted to win the Ken Stroud Founders Award from for the best interpretation of British Wildlife in the show

 

 

The Ken Stroud Founders Award 

An Award presented and named by the Central Council in respect of the unstinting work of Ken Stroud in founding the Society.

This award will be presented for the best interpretation of British Wildlife. The judges look for originality of idea and empathy with the chosen subject.
