Born in Port Glasgow William has been painting since childhood and has been painting wildlife and the landscape for the past 25 years.

Widely traveled, his most recent trip took him to South Africa where he stayed for some 14 months studying and painting the native landscapes and wildlife.

Now living and working in Edinburgh he is also a fine art trade’s guild framer and runs a small framing workshop and gallery where his work can be seen.

When not in the framing shop his one passion is to wander the countryside sketching and photographing the landscapes and wildlife and in particular the islands and coastline of Northumberland and Scotland.

His work hangs in several private collections in America, Canada, Africa and Europe.
